The BMFA Scale Technical Committee look after all classes of scale models of powered fixed wing aircraft including Free Flight, Control Line, Indoor and Radio Control. The committee also administers rules for competitions involving these models. The committee also organises competitions throughout the year in various parts of the country including those to determine Scale National Champions in Radio Control, Free Flight, Control Line and Indoor.
Competitions.
The main competitions held are the Scale Indoor Nationals (usually held in April at Nottingham University) and Scale Radio Control, Scale Free Flight and Scale Control Line Nationals held at Barkston Heath, Nr. Grantham in August. Other competitions for Radio Control models are held at various locations in the North, Midlands and the South enabling most flyers to attend at least one without travelling too far.
